ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions recently announced that Axis Communications has completed the integration of ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless lock technology into the AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry all-in-one video and access control management system. According to the company, the Aperio integration offers Axis customers an easy way to connect additional openings to their new and existing AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry systems.

“This collaboration with ASSA ABLOY promises simplicity and cost-effectiveness, eliminating cumbersome installations and budget constraints. It offers a streamlined, efficient way to expand access control capabilities, making security upgrades accessible to more organizations. Moreover, real-time online communication between Aperio locks and AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry ensures enhanced security and efficiency,” said Rob Druktenis, program manager, access control, Axis Communications, in a statement.

The Aperio platform uses wireless communication (IEEE 802.15.4) between the lock and an Aperio hub to provide real-time communication to the access control system.

AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry is an access control solution that combines physical access control with video verification.
