Huronia Alarm & Fire Security acquires Ontario service provider

Peerless Security is a security, monitoring, fire installation, and service provider in the Muskoka, Parry Sound and Haliburton regions.  

“As part of our strategic plan for continued growth, we fostered a relationship with Peerless Security & Muskoka Fire Protection Services Limited to solidify our presence in the Muskoka, Parry Sound and Haliburton markets. This acquisition will propel the growth of our product and service offerings in this region,” said Rob Thorburn Jr., President and CEO of Huronia, in a statement.

Peerless Security has been in business since 1986, providing a complete line of security, fire and life safety products and services, including installation and monitoring, for residential and commercial customers.

According to the company, this new division of Huronia will continue to have a physical presence in Huntsville and operate under the same name during the transition period. The existing management team will continue to provide leadership to the local employees at Peerless Security during this period.  

“It is our intention to take the requisite amount of time to fully evaluate and assess the intricacies of their unique market and current product and service offerings as we integrate their employees and customers into the Huronia family and brand,” said Thorburn. “Our combined operations will provide a wider array of products and services to all our customers. And we also anticipate greater efficiencies that will result in an enhanced customer experience.”

“Huronia believes in having a strong local presence in the communities that support us and in order to provide great service it is essential to operate locally as well as give back to the local community,” said Kevin Leonard, Chief Operating Officer at Huronia. “We have signed a long-term year lease with the owner of the existing office in Utterson to ensure our Muskoka, Parry Sound and Haliburton areas continue to receive great service.”
