Toronto-based Cansec Systems recently announced two promotions among its staff.
Rick Steger has been promoted from director of business development to vice-president. Steger’s career spans 30 years in the access control and video surveillance industry, including working for manufacturers and owning his own manufacturer’s representative firm. Steger held a regional director position with ASSA ABLOY DSS before joining Cansec full-time in 2022.
Minh Nguyen was promoted from technical services manager to manager of product planning. Nguyen plays an integral role in streamlining daily business operations, from tracking software and hardware to generating dynamic billing for the company’s cloud solutions. He has been instrumental in IT support, collaborating on networking solutions, actively contributing to hardware and software development, and offering consultation and support to partners, according to Cansec.
