Pandora is available as a free download for Android devices. Versions for iOS and other mobile platforms are in development.
In addition to product information, Pandora is a means for installers to tap into the technical expertise and experience of their colleagues. Users enter their question in an on-screen form. The query is then forwarded the technical support team at Siemens and all other Pandora users. Any member of the user community can respond and give advice.
“Our experience is that our customers, the majority of whom are installers, need support most often when they’re on site in the middle of a job. And they need that support quickly,” said Peter Hawksworth, global head of the security products business segment at Siemens. “With Pandora, wherever they are – provided they have a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection – installers can not only pull up data sheets for products they’re using, but also seek advice from the entire installer community.”
In addition to data sheets and brochures, the information available includes other resources such as videos, product photos and application guides.
