Lace up for 2nd Mission 500 Hockey Classic
The annual Security Industry Hockey Classic for Mission 500 is back! Mark Feb. 16 down in your calendars now!
December 6, 2016 By SP&T Staff
Last year’s inaugural event saw more than 40 industry members strap on the equipment to help raise over $19,000 for Mission 500, a non-profit organization—launched and supported by the security industry—dedicated to serving the needs of children and communities in crisis.
The Mission 500 Hockey Classic is an initiative of the charity’s Canadian Committee. Members of committee include: Paul Grossinger (chair), Shawn Gore, Frank Pietrobono, Neil Parekh, Sean Sportun, Jennifer Aboukhalil and Clark Northcott.
Take part by sponsoring, supporting and/or playing in the event at York University’s Canlan Ice Sports Complex in Toronto, Ont.
Games will be scheduled from 12:00 to 4:00 pm., each lasting 20 minutes. Each player is guaranteed a minimum of three games, followed by an awards ceremony and dinner from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Thirsty Penguin.
Participants can sign up to play as individuals, as a twosome, foursome or they can submit an entire team (8-12 players).
All proceeds for the event will be directed to Mission 500, now in its ninth year.
