Canon Canada opens new showcase facility

Canon Canada recently hosted a media event to mark the opening of its new 180,000-square-foot facility and Canadian headquarters in Brampton, Ont.

Located on more than 18 acres, the facility features a 5,000 sq.-ft. showroom and interactive space that houses some of its major product offerings including cameras (consumer and professional), printers, projectors, medical imaging systems, and related technology.

In the CCTV world, Canon is recently known for its 2014 acquisition of VMS vendor Milestone Systems followed by the purchase of IP camera stalwart Axis Communications the following year.

Axis and Canon announced in September this year that the former will market and sell Canon CCTV products in North America and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) markets. Earlier this year, Axis showcased its own Canadian HQ in Mississauga, Ont. — a 12,000 sq. ft. “Axis Experience Centre.”
