GardaWorld’s new headquarters in Montreal features a complete array of access control technology including biometric tools to allow employees swift entry, and visitor management.

The company partnered with Gallagher Security to deliver optimized solutions. “GardaWorld has created a high-tech building that showcases innovation and working closely together, we’ve been able to provide a seamless security experience, prioritizing safety and convenience for their staff and visitors,” said Nour Muqatash, technical business development manager, Gallagher, in a statement.

According to the company, facial recognition was at the top of GardaWorld’s wish list and was enabled by Gallagher’s integration with IDEMIA’s VisionPass. “With other solutions, you need separate systems and separate integrations, but because VisionPass is all run within Gallagher’s Command Centre, it’s so much easier,” said Frederic Kustcher, electronic security system administrator and technician for GardaWorld.

This integration, along with Gallagher’s suite of biometric tools, including IDEMIA Morpho Wave, enables GardaWorld’s staff to move about the headquarters using facial recognition and hand and fingerprint biometric technologies. GardaWorld is also using Gallagher’s visitor management tools, and Gallagher’s integration with Nedap provided an access solution for GardaWorld’s underground garage.

The site is also designed with future expansion in mind. “When we need perimeter, access control, and flexibility for our sites, it’s just easier to do under one big system,” said Kustcher.
