The Wiser home management system uses Alarm.com’s Connected Home platform to allow homeowners to track their electricity usage in real time. Wiser also allows users to manage features like thermostat and lighting control via www.wiserenergy.com or the Wiser app available on Android and iOS devices.

Customers using Wiser can opt to extend their energy management services into a home security and monitoring solution with Alarm.com’s Interactive Security services.

“We believe that by combining Alarm.com’s best in class platform technology with Schneider Electric’s proven energy management capabilities, we are delivering a comprehensive residential energy management solution for the market,” says Yann Kulp, vice-president, strategy and business development, EcoBusiness North America, Schneider Electric, in a company statement. “By partnering with home builders, utilities and others in the residential energy ecosystem, this integrated Wiser solution gives homeowners the ability to feel secure, reduce energy use and save money, in one simplified, combined offer.”

“Energy management is a key part of the connected home of the future,” says Alison Slavin, Alarm.com co-founder and vice-president of product management. “Alarm.com’s platform has been designed to easily integrate the expanding ‘Internet of Things’ and connect them through a powerful and secure Cloud service.”

The Wiser home management system includes an energy monitor, smart thermostat, Internet gateway, in-home display, smart plug and other load controls, web portal and mobile app usability.
