Samsung says Couillard will focus on new business development and brand extension. Prior to joining Samsung Techwin, he served as regional sales manager for Eastern Canada for Axis Communications. He has also held similar positions at Anixter and Siemens Building Technologies.

Dan Ireland has earned a CPP designation and has worked for Avigilon, DVTel, Securac and Access Direct Sales. Most recently, he was national sales director for Idea Networks, a Toronto based systems integrator.

Samsung has also added a manufacturer’s representative: SVT Solutions, based in Surrey, B.C. The company offers sales support in the electrical, industrial, security and data industries for B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

“Having the right people in place is fundamental for Samsung Security’s continued growth, and these new additions to our sales team will further accelerate Samsung’s expanding presence in the Canadian market,” says Frank DeFina, Samsung’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, North America, in a company statement. “Daniel, Dan and SVT’s team have tremendous experience in the professional security market and we look forward to their contributions.”
