Reed Security acquires another Sask.-based monitoring business

“The sellers of Detect Security, Kurtis and Sharon Riese, were retiring and wanted to transition their client base to local provider rather than a big dealer program,” said Virgil Reed, CEO, Reed Security, in an email to SP&T News. “Since we were both dealers of a.p.i. Monitoring, the conversion from one security provider to another was a really easy process — it took less than 24 hours and there were no programming changes.”

Reed added that sales inquiries, service calls and sub-contracting opportunities will be managed by Reed Security authorized dealer Thor Security, also located in Prince Albert.

Detect Security is Reed Security’s third acquisition in the last two years.
