Qognify appoints Shana Thomas as director of marketing Americas

Qognify has appointed Shana Thomas to the role of director of marketing for the Americas.
The company says the Americas represent a growth market for Qognify. Its clients include airports, logistics and transportation organizations, banks, critical infrastructure, schools and universities.
The company has also continued its work with large national and multinational retailers over the course of several years, adding retail as another key area for growth at Qognify.
Thomas has experience connecting organizations in the retail sector with solutions that meet operational and technology needs.
“Retail has been facing extreme security challenges, such as the rise in organized retail crime in recent years. Qognify’s approach to tackle these issues is a real game-changer for this industry and I look forward to communicating that message with retailers throughout the Americas,” she said in a statement.
Qognify‘s Business Video Intelligence enables footage from the VMS to be combined with transaction data from various IT systems, which helps users provide timely insights in response to suspicious incidents. It also helps to identify trends for future use in the prosecution of crime, and to transform processes that improve safety and security.
