Qognify appoints new director of transportation

PEARL RIVER — Qognify has announced the appointment of Brian Laurienzo as its director of transportation for the Americas.

Qognify provides physical security software solutions to national rail operators and infrastructure owners, international airports and mass transit systems around the world.

The company says that Laurienzo will bring 20 years of experience in video surveillance and physical security to the company.

Qognify recently launched Qognify VMS, a video management system designed to help transportation organizations make the most of their physical security strategies.

“Through the combination of enterprise-class video and incident management, Qognify is uniquely equipped to help transportation authorities respond consistently in case of an incident,” he said in a statement.

“Passengers expect public transport systems to be safe environments. The use of public transport depends heavily on the extent to which an organization succeeds in providing a consistently high level of safety and security. The video system plays a significant role, as it represents the “eyes” of a transportation organization.”
