Security Canada Ottawa, held May 31, began with an opening session from Ottawa Police about how private businesses can work more effectively with police partners, as well as tips on how to report suspected incidences of fraud. The exhibit hall opened shortly after, showcasing exhibitors with expertise in access control, surveillance, home automation, monitoring solutions, and more. The event also hosted new CANASA appointees, national president Ellery Demedash, and executive director Patrick Straw. Past national president Richard McMullen introduced the morning session from Ottawa police. CANASA's next expo takes place in Vancouver on June 21.
