Latch recently announced its plan to rebrand to Door.com.
The company said in a press release that it plans to continue to focus on its access control business under the Latch brand while additional brands will be launched under the Door.com umbrella. Door.com is expected to officially launch next year.
Latch recently completed the acquisition of Honest Day’s Work (HDW), a Jamie Siminoff company. Siminoff is the founder and former CEO of Ring, which was acquired by Amazon in 2018. When the HDW deal closed in July, Latch announced that Siminoff would take over as the company’s CEO later this year.
“The door is where the Honest Day’s Worker meets their customer and where Latch products and services provide best-in-class access control solutions,” said Siminoff in a statement. “I’ve spent the last decade of my career focused on the front door as the gateway to the community, and I’m proud to now unlock the door for our critical Honest Day’s Workers and their businesses. We’re here to invent and build, and we won’t stop until we deliver a platform that improves the lives of every service provider and building operator.”
