The Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST), an organization created by the Electronic Security Association (ESA) and the Security Industry Association (SIA), is celebrating Jan. 23 as National Security Technician Day.
According to FAST, the day was created to promote careers in the physical security technology industry and acknowledge the hard work and skills that security technicians bring to the job.
“In the ever-evolving world of security, the role of security technicians has become increasingly vital. These professionals are the backbone of our industry, ensuring safety and peace of mind in a variety of settings,” said FAST in a statement. “Recognizing their contributions, the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) is proud to announce the launch of the second annual National Security Technician Day. This special day, set for Tuesday, January 23rd, is an opportunity for us all to show our gratitude and celebrate the hard work and dedication of security technicians.”
