Italian perimeter security company expands with Montreal office

CIAS Security, a global manufacturer of physical perimeter security systems based in Italy, announced its expansion into North America and Latin America.

CIAS operates a U.S. headquarters and warehousing facility in Miami, Fla., and will open an additional office in Montreal.

CIAS specializes in the manufacture of high security outdoor intrusion sensors (microwave barriers and fence detection systems) which are installed in prisons, utilities, nuclear power plants and industrial sites in the U.S.

The company says it is also expanding its network of integrators, installers and distributors in North America and will more aggressively pursue the vertical markets of energy, corrections and transportation, with a particular focus on airport sites.

“While we have been exporting our systems into the United States for the past 14 years, we felt the need for a full-time presence in these very important markets,” said Raffaele De Astis, executive managing director, CIAS Security, in a statement. “It will allow us to more effectively penetrate the Americas by expanding our reach and connecting on a daily basis with strategic partners and customers here.”

The expanded entry into North America will take place over the next few months.

“Our existing customers will continue to receive the same high quality of service which they have come to expect,” added De Astis. “We look forward to growing our customer base and serving this market with even greater efficiently and responsiveness.”
