Ingersoll Rand names new CIO

Ingersoll Rand has announced the appointment of Stephen Hagood as vice-president and chief information officer (CIO).

Hagood joins Ingersoll Rand from Goodrich Corp. where he served as vice president and CIO since 2003.

“Steve’s breadth of technology, finance and leadership experience make him a strong fit for Ingersoll Rand, and he will play a key role in helping us achieve our goals,” said Michael W. Lamach, chairman and chief executive officer of Ingersoll Rand, in a release. “I’m pleased to welcome Steve to the team to develop and execute the company’s information technology strategies.”

Hagood will report to Lamach as part of his executive leadership team and will be based in Davidson, N.C.

With 30 years of experience, Hagood has worked in executive roles in the aerospace and defence, manufacturing and service industries. In 1993, he began working for Goodrich Corp. Earlier in his career, he worked for Fisher Controls International and Capitol City Savings in Austin, Tex.
