I.F. Wilson Fire Protection makes transition to Classic Fire + Life Safety banner

Classic Fire + Life Safety announced that I.F. Wilson Fire Protection, based in Brampton, Ont., will make the switch to the Classic Fire + Life Safety banner as of November.

I.F. Wilson became part of Classic Fire + Life Safety in July 2021, and has been operating independently to date. According to a company statement, “the parties have agreed that now is the time to unite under one brand and shared systems.”

“I am full of optimism and excitement as we begin this new chapter and work with our Classic FLS colleagues, building on what we started so many years ago,” said Lou Fior, president of I.F. Wilson. The company has operated since 1977.

All IFW technicians, fitters, and office staff will continue with their existing roles and functions as part of the change. Fior will take on a new role as director of special projects and executive account manager within Classic FLS’s construction division. Elaine Wilson will be retiring after more than 40 years in the industry.

“We are honoured that Lou and Elaine have entrusted us to continue their legacy and we are proud of all that they have accomplished for over 45 years,” said Francois Godin, CEO of Classic Fire + Life Safety. “We look forward to building on these strong foundations and inviting new people to pick up the mantle.”
