Branch showrooms were themed with seasonal maple fare, including maple desserts and maple on the snow, as well as omelets, sausages, beans and potatoes. The Sugar Shack events also showcased vendor tabletops and prize giveaways.

According to Tri-Ed, the March 19 event in Quebec City attracted 100 customers and 36 vendors; in Montreal on March  20, the event drew 45 vendors and 200 customers; and the March 21 Ottawa event, 37 vendors and 175 customers.

“The Sugar Shack events are always so much fun and so well attended,” says Francois Rousseau, Tri-Ed’s regional vice-president for Eastern Canada, in a statement. “They celebrate this wonderful time of year when the maple trees produce their delicious sugary syrup, and are another way we can show our customers and vendor partners how much we appreciate them.”
