Larson Electronics announced the release of an explosion proof portable surface mount infrared LED fixture operating on 120/240V AC 50/60Hz for vision systems, cameras, security systems, sensors and more. This light is designed for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations and comes in either a spot or flood beam configuration. This unit offers 750 nm, 850 nm or 940 nm infrared wavelengths. The spot beam configuration on this unit offers a 10-degree beam measuring 225 feet long by 25 feet wide and a flood configuration that offers a 35-degree beam measuring 45 feet long by 40 feet wide. Operators can control the direction of the beam by tilting the unit towards the desired target. Larson Electronics’ explosion proof infrared light is rated NEMA Type 3, 4, 4X, 7 (B, C, D) and 9 (E, F, G) and can operate in temperatures between -40˚C and 60˚C. This unit is waterproof up to three meters and can resist dust, dirt and humidity.
