AlertEnterprise appoints Mark Weatherford as CISO

Weatherford will guide strategic aspects of data management and protection

AlertEnterprise Inc. announced the appointment of Mark Weatherford as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

In the CISO position Weatherford will guide strategic aspects of data management and protection, advising cyber-physical Security policies and procedures within AlertEnterprise. In addition, Weatherford will reach out to businesses and executive professionals in the Cyber and Physical Security industries to further accelerate Security Convergence adoption.

Weatherford has held numerous cyber-centric positions, including vice-president and chief security officer at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC); the Department of Homeland Security’s first Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity under the Obama Administration; California’s first Chief Information Security Officer; and the first CISO for the state of Colorado.
