The ATP designation recognizes ADT as having fulfilled the training requirements and program prerequisites to design, resell, install and maintain a full range of video surveillance and access-control solutions.

To earn Premier Certification, ADT had to meet standards for networking competency, service, support and customer satisfaction put forward by Cisco.

“ADT Canada is proud to have achieved the Premier Certification as well as Advanced Technology Partner status which allows us to begin supporting Cisco’s Video Surveillance portfolio,” said Iain Morton, Vice-President Canada, ADT Advanced Integration/Intercon Security. “We continue to invest in this alliance as part of our North American strategy to deliver security solutions that meet our clients’ systems integration needs. Customers will benefit not just from our new capability but also from our shared commitment to support the Canadian security industry.”

Cisco and ADT made the announcement during the ADT Business Solutions recent road show event held in Toronto June 2.

To qualify for the Video Surveillance ATP program, ADT had to meet a number of requirements, from having staff members who fulfill specific job responsibilities to achieving the Cisco Express Foundation Specialization. Those requirements are designed to help a partner maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

“As we move into new markets and emerging technologies, the Cisco Authorized Technology Provider Partners are instrumental in helping our customers turn innovative technology into a competitive advantage,” said Steve Benvenuto, Director of Emerging Technologies for Worldwide Channels at Cisco. “As a Cisco Video Surveillance ATP Partner, ADT brings a unique set of skills to potential customers, combining a proven physical-security track record with Cisco expertise.”
