“Weiser will continue to support new platforms and protocols as they are released to the market,” says Steve Kolobaric, marketing manager. “We are excited to announce support for several leading platforms in addition to expanding the successful Kevo platform.”
Weiser and Google Weave: Weiser released a new keyless touchscreen lock prototype that leverages Google’s Weave software platform and will bring the benefits of Weave to the residential security market. Weave is a standardized system for IoT devices to connect and communicate. The smart lock features a capacitive touchscreen design and patent-pending SecureScreen™ technology.
Weiser and Apple HomeKit: Launched in January, Weiser Premis is the company’s first Apple HomeKit™-compatible smart door lock. Premis offers homeowners the convenience of unlocking and locking the door using Siri voice controls and best-in-class, patented security features, including SecureScreen™ and the latest version of Weiser SmartKey® security.
Weiser and Thread: Weiser is also introducing a new keyless touchscreen lock prototype that uses Thread networking protocol. Weiser is a member of the Thread Group and is deeply engaged with the Thread initiative, working to bring to market a new smart lock that uses the Thread protocol.
Weiser has recently unveiled Kevo 2nd Gen, a second generation smart lock which provides the same trusted touch-to-open smart lock experience available in the Kevo 1st Gen teamed with a refined user experience, sleeker design and added security.
Kevo Convert is a smart lock conversion kit that makes an existing deadbolt “smarter” at an affordable price. Weiser is the first manufacturer to offer full smart lock solutions and a smart lock conversion kit to homeowners.
