The courses will be held in conjunction with Connex International and will be open to systems integrators, architects, engineers, end users, and distributors. The material will cover high-level design of IP camera systems, according to the company, with an assumption that the attendee has some degree of IP camera knowledge. Attendees will learn proper settings for maximizing bandwidth and storage usage, applying proper cameras and features for specific jobs and situations, and optimizing savings to become more competitive in the project bid process.
The VIVOTEK Certified Design Engineer course will run one day at a price of $495 and will be offered through participating distributors of VIVOTEK products in the U.S. and Canada. Attendees will receive an FD8135H 1-Megapixel Indoor Dome camera, as well as design tools and communication pieces. BICSI and CEU credits will also be awarded to attendees in the coming months.
“The VIVOTEK Certified Design Engineer course is truly different among training programs,” said Archimedes Mandap, Technical Manager at VIVOTEK USA. “We believe attendees will walk away understanding the true flexibility and potential of VIVOTEK IP camera solutions.”
