Videofied forges partnerships with Canadian providers

Videofied’s MotionViewer is a wireless PIR motion sensor and is available in Canada through Tri-Ed distribution. According to the company, the battery-powered MotionViewer installs like a typical wireless PIR with a 500 foot RF range to the alarm panel with no power wires or Ethernet cables. Videofied also provides smartphone interactivity with remote arm/disarm and look-in to the cameras.

The company states that its preferred indoor monitoring partners will monitor an indoor Videofied alarm for the same price as a traditional blind alarm system — dealers do not pay a premium for video verification. Videofied’s partners in Canada include Lanvac, API, SecurTek, Security Response Center (SRC), DSI and Huronia.

Videofied has also partnered with Telular to provide cell communications for the Videofied 630 IP alarm panel. The Videofied 630 panel has two communications paths: Ethernet and/or the cell network using the Telular SIM card. The dealer cost of the indoor cell plan from Telular is approximately $6.00 per month. Telular’s new SIM card provides pan Canadian coverage on all of the major carriers including Rogers, SaskTel, Bell, and Telus.

In addition, the new Videofied smartphone app allows property owners to use their smartphone to arm/disarm and provides remote viewing through the MotionViewer cameras. Videofied is now mainstream, providing greater value and faster police response at the same cost to dealers as a traditional burglar alarm.
