Veracity expands COLDSTORE range of IP video storage solutions • ISC West 2018

With 45 disk bays, COLDSTORE Colossus is designed for projects that require high capacity, long-term retention of video data. When populated by 12TB hard disk drives the product delivers 540TB video storage capacity in a 4U space, 31.5 in. deep.

COLDSTORE solutions’ architecture also reduces wear, vibration and temperature, says the company, which results in up to 90 per cent reduction in power consumption.

Veracity also announced embedded NVR functionality across the range of COLDSTORE products, which allows video to be recorded directly from camera to COLDSTORE storage without needing a separate NVR.

The company is also displaying its range of video transmission products and launched its new range of OUTREACH Gigabit Ethernet extenders.

OUTREACH extends Cat5/6 Ethernet beyond the 328 feet limit. The Gigabit additions to the Lite, Max and exterior XT versions of OUTREACH now deliver unrestricted 10/100/1000BASE-T network bandwidth. All Gigabit versions are compatible with POE, POE plus and custom POE, with Max versions supporting up to 70W. The XT enclosures have functional improvements with a more resilient IP67 rating, allowing them to deal with temporary immersion in water.

VIEWSCAPE, Veracity’s integrated command and control system, is also on display. VIEWSCAPE features a modular integration platform that gives operators control over surveillance and security functions, as well as visual information received from IP and deployable CCTV cameras combined with interactive maps and incident management.
