Scott Young, formerly Vice President of the Prairies Region, will now lead the Residential, Commercial and Alarm Monitoring business lines for the Security Systems division.
Scott’s 16 years with GardaWorld, spanning roles in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto, position him well to build GardaWorld’s national scale in the security systems industry and integrate its technological capabilities in Quebec and English Canada.
Scott holds an MBA from Athabasca University and was part of the 2016 SP&T Magazine Top 10 Under 40; he also won the 2018 Canadian Security Magazine Emerging Leader Award.
Scott has been an active volunteer in various industry associations including Past-Chair and Young Professionals Associate Regional Vice President (ARVP) of ASIS International, Director with the Southern Alberta Shopping Centre Association and Canadian Security Lifesaver Association and is the Founding President of the Alberta Federation of Security Guard Agencies (AFSGA).
