UL Townhall – Proposed Revisions to CAN/ULC-S301 & CAN/ULC-S561

UL is hosting a virtual town hall meeting where they will share important information regarding proposed revisions to CAN/ULC-S301 & CAN/ULC- S561 and to participate in the public review process.

On Wednesday, June 24th at 1:00 PM EST, UL will host a virtual town hall meeting to share important information about the May 22 proposal to revise CAN/ULC-S301, the Standard for Signal Receiving Centres Configurations and Operations and CAN/ULC-S561, the Standard for Installation and Services for Fire Signal Receiving Centres and Systems.

The proposed changes include the addition of requirements which address monitoring station operators working from remote locations, such as at home.

The objective of this meeting is to provide background information and insight into the rationale behind this standard proposal, as well as detailed information regarding how you can participate in the public review process via UL’s Collaborative Standards Development System (CSDS).

NOTE:  UL is unable to discuss the merits of the proposal or take revision suggestions live during this meeting.
