This prestigious recognition, awarded annually by The Chicago Athenaeum and Design Museum and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban studies, is part of the world’s most recognized program for design excellence. It attracts submissions from design firms and manufacturers throughout the world.

“Designed for ultimate simplicity, the B942 keypad delivers a modern touch interface to Bosch security control panels,” said Falk Herrmann, Vice President – Intrusion Systems Business Unit, Bosch Security Systems. “It enables common tasks to be completed with a single touch and guides users through more advanced operation with intuitive icons. Its elegant shape and low profile design blends into nearly any environment.”

The B942 Touch Screen Keypad features a presence detector that automatically activates the home screen when the user approaches, showing complete system status at a glance. A proximity reader also allows the use of an ID card or RF token for secure authentication, eliminating the need to enter a passcode. The keypad ensures simple operation for B Series and G Series Intrusion Control Panels from Bosch, which can communicate system messages in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese for enhanced ease of use.

The outstanding quality of Bosch Security Systems design has been repeatedly recognized by this awards program. Since 2009, Bosch received three additional GOOD DESIGN Awards for its surveillance and communications products. Details are available at https://chi-athenaeum.org/
