Omura comes to North America from TOA’s head office in Kobe, Japan. He brings with him 19 years experience and will be leaving his post as section manager of the International Sales Section, where he handled sales teams for South America, India and South Korea.

Omura will be based out of New Jersey, U.S. and will divide his time between Canada, the U.S. and all of North & Central America.

Yasuyuki Takahashi, who has grown and developed the Canadian market, according to TOA, will be returning to Japan to work with the International Business Division.

Meanwhile, TOA Canada has also announced a realignment of sales territories.

Warren Strem’s sales territory will now include the Northern Territories, including the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut. He will also be responsible for British Columbia and Alberta.

Also, Manitoba and Saskatchewan will now be part of Peter MacLean’s territory.

Barry Taylor, a 32-year veteran of TOA Canada, will mentor both Warren and Peter in his final year at TOA Canada, as he will be retiring in late 2017.

“TOA Canada is constantly changing and growing. 2017 will be an exciting year with these territory changes, bringing new talent and ideas to the western part of Canada,” said Rico Lucia, general manager.
