Tim Hums joins PDQ Manufacturing as strategic buyer
Tim Hums has joined PDQ Manufacturing, Leola, Pa., as the firm's strategic buyer, with broad responsibility for managing the company's materials and supply functions. In his new post, Hums has broad responsibility for the supply function, ensuring that PDQ is constantly prepared with the material support to meet customer needs.

He manages inventories and supervises internal contact with a range of critical departments, including engineering, customer service, sales and marketing, quality control, production and IT. He is also responsible for maintaining the company’s relationships with vendors and suppliers, and sourcing new suppliers as needed.
Hums has 17 years’ experience in purchasing and supply-chain management roles. Before joining PDQ he held a strategic sourcing post with a leading U.S. manufacturer of door hardware. He has also acquired substantial experience in production, materials handling and quality inspection.
