Soo joins 2GIG
Patrick Soo, formerly with Monitronics Canada, is now the Canadian Manufacturers Representative for 2GIG Technologies in Canada.
Formed in 2007 by former Honeywell Security veterans Lance Dean and Scott Simon, 2GIG Technologies manufactures residential security and home management solutions. 2GIG’s GO!Control – is a self-contained, all-in-one security and home management system with two-way voice over cellular and built in home controls.

2GIG Technologies is a member of the Z-Wave Alliance, an open consortium of more than 160 manufacturers who create products and services based on Z-Wave, the standard in wireless control.
Soo says the company’s product line is approved for dealer use by Protectron, Monitronics and is distributed by MyGuard Distribution, based in Edmonton.
“They didn’t have a dedicated person working in Canada supporting distribution partners and dealers,” he says. “Go!Control has proven it will help dealers increase RMR as well as increase customer retention.”
