SecurTek will acquire over 9,000 customer accounts for monitoring and Scott Security will continue to provide new sales, installations & local service in the area as an authorized dealer of SecurTek.

“This is an important move in further expanding SecurTek’s market reach by partnering with reputable security companies to build our dealer network,” said Darrell Jones, SecurTek President and CEO. “SecurTek’s growth strategy of developing strategic alliances with established companies such as Scott Security who are focused on service excellence creates a win-win situation. Scott Security has a proven business record and will continue to provide their expertise in installation and servicing of their local customer base, while SecurTek will provide security monitoring supported by our advanced technology.”

“Becoming an Authorized SecurTek dealer is a very positive move for our company and our customers,” said Scott Granger, President of Scott Security. “Our combined strength will enable us to grow and continue to provide superior service to our customers along with state-of-the-art monitoring services from an established national partner.”

This acquisition is a continuation of SecurTek’s strategy to develop strategic alliances with existing security companies to expand its customer base, and thereby achieve the economies of scale that will return an increased profit to SecurTek’s parent company, SaskTel. SecurTek received a revolving line of credit of up to $10 million from SaskTel to allow for additional customer account purchases and this investment in Scott’s customer accounts is the first acquisition within this approved financing.

“Acquisitions such as this, along with new customer account growth, have resulted in SecurTek expanding our employee base in Yorkton, and supporting economic growth for the city and province,” added Jones.
