The series is approved for 12 hours of CEUs through the NTS and helps students maintain their certifications including Certified Alarm Technician Level I, Certified Fire Alarm Technician (CFAT) Level II” and Certified Service Technician (CST).
The CEU approved course, specific to the security industry, focuses on many of the foundational topics security, fire and life safety professionals need. Composed of nine (9) modules, each running one to one and a half hours in length, the 12 hour series offers information on everything from individual safety to wireless systems.
Modules in the new Alarm Industry Professional Development Series include Basic Individual Safety, False Alarm Reduction, Troubleshooting: Basic Tools and Techniques, Troubleshooting: IP Networks, IP Video Overview, Wireless Components and Physics, Wireless Standards, Troubleshooting Wireless Systems, and Customer Service in the Security Industry.
The course is part of the Library Subscription Model Program, which offers very significant discounts of all existing and new security courses found at SecurityCEU.com instead of having to purchase the courses separately.
“Certification is not only a requirement but the course is perfect for everyone in the industry, including manufacturers, distributors, reps, integrators, dealers and anyone else that needs these foundational skills in their everyday jobs,” said Connie Moorhead, president of the company. “We developed the Alarm Industry Professional Development Series, so security professionals could gain and maintain their ESA certifications which require 12 hours of continuing education with the advantage of learning anytime and anywhere.”
