Ring launches glass break sensor

Ring announced in a recent blog post that it has launched a new glass break sensor device. According to Ring:

Using AI technology, the Ring Alarm Glass Break Sensor detects the sound of glass breaking up to 25 feet away. If the sound is detected, you’ll receive a notification to your Ring App, so you can take action. You can update your settings to automatically trigger your Ring Alarm siren when in Home or Away mode, and receive a call from our monitoring center if you have enrolled in 24/7 professional monitoring with a Ring Protect Pro subscription.

The sensor is now available for pre-order for US$39.99 and will start shipping on Feb. 16.
