Resideo completes acquisition of video solutions provider Teknique

Resideo Technologies announced that it has completed the acquisition of Teknique, a provider of edge-based, AI-enabled video camera development and solutions.
Founded in 2004 and based in Auckland, New Zealand, Teknique’s platform enables computer vision solutions and edge artificial intelligence for global enterprises across a range of industries, according to a press release.
“Resideo is focused on creating products that turn data into innovative solutions and the Oclea by Teknique platform will help lead Resideo into new applications with next-generation video and sensor technology,” said Scott Ziffra senior vice-president, engineering & product management at Resideo, in a statement. “With the acquisition, Resideo looks to advance our security video strategy, expand our video product portfolio and accelerate our focus on providing actionable intelligence for our customers.”
