Montreal-based Maple Armor recently announced it has acquired French designer and manufacturer of fire alarm systems, Finsecur Fire. The deal closed in September 2020.

Paris, France-based Finsecur has served the fire and security industry for more than 20 years and employs more than 400 people.  The company “has proven to be as equally dedicated to designing top quality fire alarm products as Maple Armor, making it an obvious partner to merge with,” said Maple Armor in a company announcement.

“With installations ranging from airports to high-rises and from national landmarks to modern buildings, Finsecur has a proven track record of completing beautiful projects. Their expertise is exemplified in the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in Roissy, France, where they successfully installed a network composed of several fire alarm panels with a general computer control system connecting 3120 Detectors. With this successful merger, Maple Armor is excited to be taking a big step in its expansion into the global market.”
