SAN JOSE — Quantum Corporation is bringing in some new surveillance tools to its portfolio, and they will be making an appearance at ISC West 2022.

The data storage and management company has introduced a new unified surveillance platform software and a new line of smart video recording servers.

Quantum says its new NVRs operate over a combination of the USP software and the NVR server to create an integrated appliance for capturing and recording surveillance video.

Additionally, the company says the USP should help reduce the cost of ownership as it  consolidates the server’s computer, storage and networking resources into one unified system that can also host VMS and other necessary applications.

Quantum says the USP runs on any standard server and should be compatible with the hardware companies use for their security applications. Additionally, the Smart NVR can run multiple physical security applications on a single server.

“With the strategic acquisitions of Pivot3’s surveillance business and EnCloudEn’s hyperconverged software last year, we extended our customer and system integrator base and go-to-market offerings with field-proven technology for mission-critical surveillance workloads,” Ross Fujii, general manager, strategic markets, for Quantum in a statement.

“I’m encouraged by the momentum we are seeing in this business and the opportunity for growth in video surveillance data management. We are bringing even more differentiated value to market with our USP software optimized for video data and Smart NVRs, both offered in flexible consumption models that provide systems integrators and customers the convenience and choice they desire.”

The company also explained in a statement that Quantum’s new USP is based on software technology that it acquired last year from EnCloudEn.

Guests at ISC West in Las Vegas can get a closer look and learn more about Quantum’s latest offerings by visiting booth #20065 from March 22 to 25.
