Summer vacation is a time for everyone to relax, but when a home is empty due to summer travel, the threat of a burglary rises.
Senstar's FiberPatrol-PL, an advanced security system for buried pipelines, is optimized to detect third-party interference (TPI). FiberPatrol-PL uses fibre optic cable buried along the pipeline to detect and locate ground vibrations and acoustic signatures associated with TPI activity. A single FiberPatrol-PL processor can detect and locate TPI over a distance of up to 72 km (45 mi) and within 10 m (33 ft) accuracy. FiberPatrol-PL detects TPI activity that threatens pipeline integrity: machine or manual digging, heavy machinery operating nearby, and even people walking in the vicinity of the pipeline. The system’s advanced detection algorithms optimize the detection of TPI activity while rejecting nuisance alarms. It can also reject vibrations caused by traffic on roads and railways running parallel or perpendicular to the pipeline.
Rex Plus II, the electronic watchdog alarm from STI, provides a way to deter burglars, without the problems of owning a real dog. With his electronic radar eyes, Rex II can “see” through thick doors, walls and glass. When movement is detected, he starts to emit the selected sound (Dog 1, Dog 2, 2 Dogs together – Ding, Ding Dong, Chirp – Siren 1, Siren 2). The closer an intruder gets, the more frequent the barking becomes. As the intruder backs off, the barking decreases in frequency, stopping completely when movement is out of range. Water resistant flip top provides easy access to the controls. Simply plug unit into a standard electrical outlet or power with six (6) C batteries. Detection range: adjustable up to 26 feet (range reduced through obstructions), detection angle: 150 degrees. Easy setup with voice messages or prompts.
Bosch Security Systems' Commercial Series family of motion detectors expands the Bosch portfolio of wall-mount motion detectors, which includes Blue Line Gen2 for residential and small commercial applications and the Professional Series for mid-sized to large commercial environments.
Smarter Security has announced the availability of a new line of four SmarterBeam passive infrared (PIR) motion detectors. Already designed with precision engineering to deliver the highest levels of alarm accuracy, SmarterBeam has features that vastly lower its vulnerability to defeat, including a second PIR sensor that eliminates the creep zone.
Honeywell announced the release of the 5800C2W Convert to Wireless Module, a device that enables retrofitting existing 12-volt security control panels of virtually any type or brand by converting wired sensors to Honeywell’s 5800 Series wireless technology. Up to nine hardwired zones can be easily converted to 5800 wireless protection zones—eliminating the cost of adding transmitters. The 5800C2W is a reliable solution that lets security professionals expand their connected home and building portfolio by offering Honeywell’s LYNX series of self-contained security systems to more users.
The latest version of Honeywell’s Pro-Watch security management system expands the services dealers can provide to their customers. The Pro-Watch 4.1 security management system adds support for Honeywell’s Vindicator high security intrusion detection system, as well as SALTO disconnected readers and Mercury Security control panels.
Bosch Security Systems' B Series intrusion control panels are Internet appliances for security applications. The B Series includes two models: the B5512 supports 48 points of protection and four areas, while the B4512 monitors 28 points of protection and two areas. The series is designed for retail stores, banks, office buildings, government locations, schools and other commercial and residential applications.
The Fence Intrusion Detection System from Terminus uses shock sensors to detect the vibrations, or shock waves, caused by intrusion attempts. These can include someone cutting the fabric, climbing the fence and/or lifting the fence material. These shock waves are detected by the Terminus sensors, which send a signal to a Terminus electronic processor to analyze and then report its status to the main alarm control panel. This immediate response lets the owner and law enforcement know about an intrusion while it is taking place.www.terminusproducts.com
