A wide dynamic range sensor and integrated near-infrared illuminators enable the DINION IP imager 9000 HD to extend the AVT234 Reconisense’s range of automated target detection under both day and night time conditions.

AVT234 Video Motion Detection Software provides automatic alarms to bring up the camera view when detection of humans or vehicles occurs, enabling operators to detect, assess, and respond immediately to mitigate unwanted intrusions.

“The use of automated Video Motion Detection systems for protection of critical physical assets at electric and gas utilities – and for pipeline damage prevention – has grown rapidly as threats to the power grid increase,” explains Paul Simpson, Business Development / Physical Security System Engineering, P&L E-Communications. “The AVT234 VMD platform integrated with the DINION IP imager 9000 HD delivers consistent, accurate situational awareness via real-time alerts to security operations centers in all lighting conditions, enabling operators to react to breaches in a proactive manner.”

The DINION IP imager 9000 HD camera is designed for perimeter protection and the surveillance of critical infrastructures, such as power plants and water treatment facilities. The imager’s extremely rugged design and built-in active infrared illumination enables it to withstand harsh weather conditions and penetrate darkness. Another unique feature is intelligent Auto Exposure. It dynamically adjusts the exposure of the camera to automatically adapt to changing light conditions, providing perfect exposure of objects of interest every time of day, regardless of fluctuating front or backlight.

“The DINION IP imager 9000 HD delivers the highest quality IP video images for monitoring high risk / high consequence sites,” says Lloyd Uliana, Business Development Engineer, Bosch Security Systems, Inc. “In addition to detection-level surveillance capabilities, the camera also provides recognition-level and identification-level performance under 0 lux conditions, improving situational awareness for AVT234 VMD operators regardless of the level of incidental lighting.”
