Vancouver-based Paladin Security has expanded its reach in Ontario through a merger of operations with Southern Ontario-based Lyndon Security, effective Sept. 1.
Lyndon Security was established in 1970 in Sarnia, Ont., and serves customers in the institutional, commercial, manufacturing sectors. Its largest vertical is petrochemical, oil and gas.
“We have always admired the way that Lyndon Security conducts business by prioritizing customer care, emphasizing culture and values, and most importantly – focusing on doing right by their people,” said Chad Kalyk, president of Paladin Security Group, in a statement. “Therefore, when the opportunity arose to merge our operations, we knew it would be a great fit; not only for our organizations, but most importantly for our employees and clients. Together, I am confident that we will continue to make Ontario a safer and friendlier place while building on the legacy Lyndon has created over the past 50 years.”
Paladin said in a statement that the merger provides a “tremendous catalyst” for its growing footprint in the region. Lyndon operates four branch locations — Sarnia, St. Thomas, Hamilton and Welland — and employs a staff of 450 people. Paladin added that, while the merger will bring service enhancements to Lyndon, “the strong local management and staff members of Lyndon will remain unchanged.”
“Paladin has retained all of our office spaces in the regions we serve… it is paramount to have a local presence and local management team to build long-term and successful strategic partnerships with clients and our security team,” said David Hehn, Lyndon managing partner and now Paladin vice-president. “Paladin recognizes, acknowledges and supports the company, team and culture we have built at Lyndon, as well as our commitment to the communities we serve.”
Paladin Security has 26 locations across Canada and more than 12,000 employees.
