NTT enters managed security services field

NTT Security Corp. has begun operations as a specialized security subsidiary of NTT Group, bringing together NTT’s advanced analytics technologies, threat intelligence and security experts.

NTT Security delivers managed security services (MSS) and specialized security professional services. These services will be taken to market globally, and client engagement will be managed by the NTT operating companies Dimension Data, NTT Communications and NTT Data.

Within the area of managed security services (MSS), NTT Security will offer a 24/7 security analyst and proprietary advanced security information analysis platform that enable real-time threat detection and validation, severity determination, reporting, remediation advisory and immediate isolation and protection. NTT Security also provides secure IT lifecycle management with continuous vulnerability testing, patch management, advisory and compliance reporting.

The new company also offers technical support and advisories based on specialized expertise to enable organizations’ security risk identification, implementation of the right controls, appropriate incident response and forensics.

NTT Security will incorporate a matrix organizational structure with a global headquarters and four regional headquarters in the U.S., Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan. The company feels this will provide customers with the best mix of global integration and local responsiveness to meet region-specific requirements.

Upon its launch on Aug. 1, NTT Security had a presence in 14 countries, and expects to further expand its global footprint in cooperation with NTT operating companies.

Jun Sawada, senior executive vice-president, NTT, will act as CEO for the new company, NTT Secuirty.
