Motorola Solutions Monday announced it has completed the acquisition of Fresno, Calif.-based surveillance manufacturer Pelco for US$110M in cash.
“Video continues to play a more powerful role in enabling safer cities and securing businesses around the world,” said Greg Brown, chairman and CEO, Motorola Solutions, in a statement. “Pelco’s track record of innovation, internationally recognized brand, global channel and customer installed base enable us to further expand our global footprint with enterprise and public safety customers.”
Pelco is the latest in a line of surveillance acquisitions for Motorola. In June, the company completed the acquisition of Scottish video solutions provider IndigoVision. In 2018, Motorola acquired Avigilon in a deal valued at approximately US$1 billion.
