Lanvac is a national organization that has an excellent reputation
within the dealer community and is a proven leader in providing
contract monitoring services. We are very excited about the
opportunities that this alliance will create for both Monitronics
and Lanvac," says Patrick Soo, Director of Canadian Operations for Monitronics.

Dallas, Tex.-based Monitronics, which provides monitored security system services to more than 700,000 residential customers and commercial clients through its network of independent Authorized Dealers, entered the Canadian market in 2007 and soon saw the need for a dealer program that would not compete with
its dealers.

“We bring a very flexible program. We let the dealers keep their own
brand and work their own way. We offer competitive multiples,
operational support and training. We bring something a little
different—we don’t compete with our dealers and we focus on making them
successful.”

Lanvac operates five stations across Canada. Located in Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver, the stations are linked together on a continuous basis, permitting rapid response to all incoming signals and calls.

John Georgoudes, president of the Lanvac Group said the alliance will benefit both organizations.

“The simple truth is that the two companies share a great deal in
common, and that we can each help the other to meet growth objectives
in the Canadian marketplace. We are looking forward to a long and
beneficial friendship.”
