Mission 500 Hockey Classic raises almost $14K for Peel Crime Stoppers

February 28, 2020  By  PJ Boyd

The fifth annual Mission 500 Hockey Classic, in support of Peel Crime Stoppers, brought 12 teams onto the ice for this year’s fundraiser. Teams included players from Anixter, Graybar, Sensormatic Canada, Titan Products Group, G4S, York Region Crime Stoppers, Peel Police, Vipond, IAHSS Wolves, Peel Paramedics, RCMP and Peel Crime Stoppers.

The winners of the day were the players from Anixter following a tight game ending in 3-2. Peel Region Police Deputy Chief Mark Andrews presented the first place trophy to Anixter. The runner up was the team from York Region Crime Stoppers, and in third — with a little help in their final game from City of Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, who came out to support the event — was the team from Peel Paramedics.

The tournament raised approximately $14,000 for Peel Crime Stoppers through the generosity of participating teams and sponsors Hikvision (Hall of Fame Sponsor), Axis Communications, TSOC, Anixter (MVP Sponsors), Aiphone, Automatic Systems, CANASA, Titan, Graybar, G4s and Mircom (All Star Sponsors).
