“This is momentous news for Mircom,” said Mark Falbo, president, Mircom. “Eduardo has a well-earned reputation for success in the rapidly growing Latin American marketplace; he is very deserving of being elected president of the NFPA Mexico Chapter.”
Eguiluz was presented his title during the banquet lunch and awards ceremony held on the final day of NFPA Expo Seguridad Mexico.
Representing the Latin American department of the NFPA, Eguiluz will be working closely with fellow international NFPA staff to further advance the use and adoption of NFPA codes and standards in the Latin American territory. As president, he will also be increasing global awareness of the NFPA at conferences and seminars that strive to improve fire, building and life safety.
Eguiluz developed a Fire Alarm Design training program based on NFPA72, 90B, 101 and 70, which was implemented in several Latin American countries. He has published numerous articles in various industry magazines and is an active speaker at several conferences.
