Milestone Systems withdraws from ISC West over COVID concerns

April 30, 2021  By  SP&T Staff

Milestone Systems announced that it is withdrawing from the ISC West conference this year, scheduled for July 19-21 in Las Vegas, over concerns generated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The company said it is looking at alternate ways to share the information it has prepared for the conference.

“We have been monitoring this situation very closely for over a year now,” said Tim Palmquist, vice-president for the Americas, Milestone Systems in a statement. “Unfortunately, the continued heightened risk of COVID-19 means that we will return to in-person events only when it is safe to do so. We are prioritizing people over the benefits of our participation in ISC West 2021. We believe that not having a formal presence at the show is the best decision for the benefit of all our stakeholders, at this time.”

Milestone said it continues to be supportive of ISC West and intends to return to the conference in 2022. The company also said its U.S. office in Lake Oswego, OR, is currently closed with employees working remotely, following existing COVID-19 prevention guidelines from the Governor of the State of Oregon.
