Mercury awarded ISO certification for quality management system
LONG BEACH, Cali – Mercury Security, a provider of OEM access control hardware and part of HID Global, has announced it has earned ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system.

ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognized quality management standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Mercury says the certification process provides a model for companies around the world to build an effective quality management system. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement.
“Mercury has always operated under a credo of continuous process improvement in order to consistently deliver value-added products that meet and exceed the needs of our partners and their end customers. The ISO 9001:2015 certification underscores our commitment to ensuring the highest quality in Mercury products, as well as increased operational efficiency and enhanced accountability,” said Matthew Barnette, president of Mercury Security, in a prepared statement.
The firm says the scope of certification is applicable to the following areas:
• Mercury’s design of OEM hardware for facility security and access control (including controllers, readers, integrated products and accessories; and
• Mercury’s hardware built on an open architecture platform (that is designed specifically for access control based on emerging technologies, changing industry standards and evolving network environments).
