The off-the-shelf integration provides personalized safety capability to security control rooms and enhanced operational value, without the expense of a PSIM solution or custom integration, the company says.

Ambit allows security controllers to communicate directly with individuals and groups and to monitor the safety of everyone on site or on multiple sites.

The technology comes with a choice of applications tailored to the user’s needs. It can allow lone-worker monitoring, courtesy communications and remote escorting after-hours, panic alarm features, user-activated IPS location, and individualized messaging during incidents. It can also help security teams coordinate and work with emergency responders.

With Ambit integrated into the eFusion platform, operators can see where individuals are during an emergency situation and provide a rapid response.

“This type of safety monitoring and individualized communications capability has not been easily available to security teams until now,” said Lee Copland, managing director, Maxxess EMEA. “It was either too expensive, too complex or too burdensome to maintain. By contrast eFusion, now with Ambit, gives an affordable, simple and future-flexible upgrade path.”

Maxxess says the open technology software supports over 50 off-the-shelf integrations from vendors, giving users the opportunity to customize solutions combining surveillance, access control, fire and intruder systems with back-office processes.
