Kidde recalling select smoke, smoke/CO alarms

Through a joint recall with Health Canada and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, Kidde is recalling its branded AC/DC powered residential smoke alarms and combination smoke/CO alarms, models KN-COSM-IBACA, i12010S-CO-CA and i12010S-CA.

These alarms are white, round, and approximately 5 to 6 inches in diameter, with an engraved Kidde logo on the front. They are AC/DC powered and capable of hardwired interconnect.

Labels indicating the model number and date code are located on the back of the device. The date code consists of the year of manufacture, the month of manufacture and the day of manufacture in the YYYY Month XX format.
